It may look complicated and technical, but appearances can be deceptive! With simple training provided by Zimmer MedizinSysteme as part of its icelab package, any spa staff can be trained to operate the cold chamber.

icelab is set to work on fully automated, customised programmes, controlled easily by one person via a touchscreen. External monitors show all three chambers at once for enhanced guest safety.

The unit doesn’t require extra staff to help with de-icing as this function is fully automated and built-in too.

Guests simply fill out a medical form at the outset and have their blood pressure checked by qualified member of staff. Then it’s a question of lights, music, action, as they enjoy the innovative icelab experience!

Specialist marketing and information literature can also be supplied to spa facilities to help them promote their healthy new asset.

Green standards

Saving energy is essential for all businesses, and this is no less true for spa facilities that typically require a lot of operational energy consumption.

The good news is that icelab is environmentally-friendly, and any heat produced during its operation can be channelled back via its heat recovery system and used in other areas of your facility – such as heating the swimming pool.

Its standby mode is -40C to help minimise energy consumption when not in use.

So you don’t want a cold sauna that looks, well, cold? No problem, you can skip the plain white box option and have your icelab branded and designed in a way that perfectly fits with your spa’s interiors. From nature motifs to colourful pop art, Zimmer MedizinSysteme can provide whatever’s right for your environment.

icelab’s modular construction allows it to be adapted easily to almost any space. It comes with a standard capacity for four people at a time, but can be enlarged if required.
